I am passionate about influencing individuals and organizations throughout the journey of discovering and maximizing talents, skills, resources, and knowledge. After beginning my career in public accounting, I found great satisfaction in leveraging the technical skills I possessed to create learning experiences for other professionals that impacted their ability to grow. This transition allowed me to discover great joy and authenticity in the fields of people development, leadership, change management, and organizational operations. I am equally comfortable serving individuals who desire personal growth, as well as organizations that recognize the need for operational success.
I have a special affinity for serving non-profits and small businesses. Navigating the challenges of limited resources and staff lends itself to creative and realistic problem-solving and collaboration. My broad background in people development, finance, operations, and administrative strategy allows me to understand overall needs, and then drive down into each of these areas to recommend efficiencies that will influence organization success. Creating synergies among and between these areas can happen from within an organization or by seeking outside assistance. Rarely does an organization need to recreate a process or system so I aim to leverage relevant external resources before starting from square one.
Do you desire to understand yourself better? Are you hoping to make an impact in some way, but you're not sure where to start? Would you like to be able to name and describe your strengths when asked?
CliftonStrengths is a great place to start and has been instrumental in my own personal growth, and I'd love to help you maximize your strengths so you can find ways to thrive! This approach identifies HOW you do things so you can apply your strengths to existing roles, or begin to explore WHAT you'd like to do. Talents sound like "relator, developer, focus, empathy, responsibility, analytical" - they are how you are "naturally-wired."
The intent of the CliftonStrengths approach is to intentionally focus on your natural talents, rather than "fix your weaknesses." Individuals do not thrive when we focus on weaknesses and have a negative outlook. Thankfully, this research is becoming more well-known and accepted to embrace talents as a foundation for excellence.
Let's explore the ways I can support your awareness of how you naturally approach the world and relate to others. This journey can result in an emotional maturity that can be applied to personal, professional, family, and community interactions. I encourage you to bring a group together - friends, colleagues, neighbors, volunteer group, etc. You will be amazed at how your understanding of each other will influence your relationships as well.
